What can I say. We are probably just like you in that we are just a group of individuals who share a passion for motors, be they old, new, fast, plodders, stationary, purely for show or that classic daily drive.

A few years ago a couple of the locals came up with an inspired idea to create a car show as a great day out for the locals and visitors, an event that would raise funds for the local footy club and a local charity or cause.......and a fantastic excuse to unlock the shed, and drag off the dusty cover to reveal that hidden treasure of the motorised era. This would be followed by the application of a bit of elbow grease, some serious polishing and a lot of fine tuning, then off for a fine day of lookin' ,chattin' ,inspirin' and dreamin'. Well need I say, it went down a treat.

As per the original plan, the day is a fantastic chance to check out a wonderful variety of motors, and to chat with their owners ( many have great stories to tell.)

The event continues to be completely run by dedicated volunteers who give up their time for many months prior to the event as well as on the day. As with any event there are funds required to provide facilities, equipment, trophies and advertising, so we say a huge thank you to our various sponsors who also make this day a success.

As in the years past many local food vendors will be at the event to provide plenty of great food to satisfy those hunger pangs, plus delicious coffee, treats, and entertainment for the kids.

The Football bar facilities will open at lunchtime. The popular Traders Alley continues to flourish, and the Auto Jumble sale will again be on (if enough entrants).

The FREE BUS SERVICE from the event into Busselton town centre and return was well patronised last year and will be provided again at this years event.

The Trade Hire Busselton Motorfest is celebrating it's 11th annual event.

Thanks to the support of exhibitors and the public the Motorfest has been able to offer support to many charitable causes since its conception. Initially funds went to well known charities but it soon became the focus of the Motorfest committee to support local individuals and causes. This has included a new motor, clutch and brakes in a family car used to take a seriously injured young man to specialised treatment, another family received a second hand car for similar circumstances, plus payment of pool fees as part of rehabilitation treatment required by another young man. WA Disabled Surfing has been a long time recipient of financial support to the purchase food of new rashies for participants and volunteers. A blanket warming unit was purchased for Busselton Renal Dialysis Centre. Cliff's Kitchen received a new barbeque and an industrial fridge in which to store the many pre-prepared meals supplied for free by their volunteers. The Womans Refuge, and various school ages sporting teams have benefited from financial support. Four Automated Defibrillation Units were purchased and placed at strategic local sites, and special thanks to the local businesses and individuals who have received training and manage these units. Overhead lifting units have been purchased and fitted into the bedroom of 2 locals to allow them more independence and assist their carers'. In 2016 the Motorfest committee and volunteers have transformed the gardens at a local home to enable young Tahnee access in her wheelchair to enjoy the outdoors. A Stabfast Stabilisation Unit has just been purchased by the Motorfest for use by the Busselton Fire and Rescue team to aid in safely extracting crash victims from their vehicle.

Thank you all for your ongoing support of the Trade Hire Busselton Motorfest… Locals supporting Locals.
